Sun v/s the deadliest creature
Sun, the prime source of energy to our solar system helps us in uncountable ways; but lately an ingenious has mechanized a device that exploits Sun’s energy to protect us from the world’s most lethal creature.
To begin with; the deadliest creature is neither shark nor snake. It’s the most common creature we see every day or every evening to be specific; Mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are responsible for most the deaths all over the world every year.
Our today’s energy hero Mathews K Mathew overcame this threat with a device powered by sun; the solar mosquito destroyer. The device exploits the smell of bio-gas to attract mosquitoes into the trapping device and once the mosquito is trapped inside the machine, heat is built-up inside the device and the direct exposure to sunlight therefore then kills the insect.
The 45 year old managing partner of the firm Kine Technologies and Research India, based at Kanjirapally, Kottayam developed the idea to the device during his college days. Although there are variants of the anti mosquito devices in the market but each one of them require some source of electricity or luring agents such as cooled carbon dioxide, gasification or dehydration etc. but the solar mosquito destroyer just needs sun rays to act and therefore is the most eco-friendly mosquito destroyer available.
