SUBJECT: TECHNICAL SEMINAR ON INTERNAL CORROSION OF PIPELINES.
9 अक्टूबर ‘2015 को जुबली टॉवर नोएडा में- पाइपलाइनों के आंतरिक जंग पर एक तकनीकी संगोष्ठी का संयुक्त रूप से गेल और निगिस द्वारा आयोजन किया गया। संगोष्ठी डॉ आशुतोष कर्नाटक निदेशक (परियोजना) की अध्यक्षता में हुई। गेल, रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज, आरजीटीआईएल, आईओसीएल, बीपीसीएल, एचपीसीएल, वाल्ट, ईआईएल, मेकॉन, ट्रेक्टेबिल ,सी ई आई एल , आईजीएल, एम जी एल, ओआईएसडी एवम नेस अंतरराष्ट्रीय के विशेषज्ञों और गेल के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियो ,सी आई एम जी तथा आर आई एम जी ने विषयगत घटना ‘जंग से जंग’ (फाईट विद कोरोज़न) मे सह्भागिता की । साथ ही ओ एंड एम के मत्वपूर्ण वर्क सेंटर भी आडियोवीडियोके माध्यम से सेमिनार मे सहभागी रहे।
A Technical seminar on Internal Corrosion of pipelines (Jointly Organized by GAIL & NIGIS) was held on 09th October ‘2015 at Jubilee Tower Noida. The Seminar was chaired by Dr Ashutosh Karnatak Director (Projects). Representative from industries- GAIL, RIL, RGTIL, IOCL, BPCL,HPCL,VOLT,EIL,MECON,TRACTABLE, CEIL IGL,MGL, and OISD, experts from M/S NACE international and CIMG(Central Integrity management group), RIMG (Regional Integrity management group) personnel of GAIL from sites participated the Thematic event “JANG SE JANG” (FIGHT WITH CORROSION). All Major O&M sites were also connected through Video Conferencing and participated in the seminar.
संगोष्ठी का उद्देश्य विभिन्न आंतरिक जंग के प्रकार और पाइपलाइनों पर उनके प्रभाव, आंतरिक जंग के कारण और उनके निवारण/ उपायों तथा आंतरिक जंग को नियंत्रित करने के क्षेत्र में तकनीकी विकास को समझने के लिए किया गया था।
Objective of the Seminar was to understand the various types of internal corrosion and their impact on pipelines. Root causes for internal corrosion and their mitigation measures. Technological developments in the field of controlling internal corrosion.
कार्यक्रम के प्रारंभ में श्री ई एस रंगनाथन कार्यकारी निदेशक (ओ एंड एम- कॉर्पोरेट) ने निदेशक (परियोजना) का स्वागत किया तथा आंतरिक जंग को गंभीर एवम महत्वपूर्ण विषय बताया ।
उद्घघाटन भाषण में निदेशक (परियोजना) ने इस तरह के संगोष्ठी और विषय विशेषज्ञता/ ज्ञान को साझा करने के लिए संयुक्त तकनीकी संगोष्ठी को नियमित रूप से सुचारु रखने पर बल दिया।
At the outset, Shri E S Ranganathan ED (O&M-CO) welcomed Director (Projects) and shared the views on Internal Corrosion a serious matter. In the inaugural address, Director (Projects) emphasized on regular meet and conducting such type of joint events to share subject matter expertise and knowledge.
नेस पाइपलाइन इंट्रिगिटी के लिये मानकों तैयार करता है , साथ ही एक प्रमुख शैक्षिक संगठन है, और ट्रेनिग कार्यक्रमो का संचालन करता है। गेल जो की देश का सबसे बडा पाईपलाईन संचालक है , ने नेस के सहयोग से “ जंग से जंग” नामक तकनीकी संगोष्ठी को ऐतिहासिक बना दिया ।
इस प्रकार का तकनीकी सेमिनार एक नए युग की अवधारणा है। तकनीकी संगोष्ठी के पह्ले दो सत्रों मे डॉ कार्लोस (एसएमई) के 30 वर्षो के काम की विशेषज्ञता और आंतरिक जंग विषय पर सभी को संवेदनशील बनाने, शिक्षा और अनुभवो को साझा करने पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया गया । डॉ कार्लोस ने आंतरिक जंग को नियंत्रित करने के लिये 32 कारको की चर्चा की और आंतरिक जंग के 4 अधारभूत बातो ( एनोड, कैथोड, इलेक्ट्रोलाइट, और धातु के सम्पर्क) के बारे मे भी बताया । शेष 2 सत्र पाईप लाईन उद्योग से आये प्रतिभागियों ने आंतरिक जंग से समबन्धित ज्ञान और अनुभव/ केस स्ट्डी को साझा किया ।
NACE being a leading educational organization, which prepares standards and also provides training courses on various topics related to pipeline integrity, and GAIL, is being the largest gas pipeline operator in INDIA, the association of GAIL with NACE to fight against corrosion made this event historical.
This is a new era / concept for technical seminars, in which first 2 sessions were focused on sensitisation, education and sharing of Dr. Carlos (SME) rich expertise of 30 years work on the subject matter. Dr. Carlos shared 32 Variables that can control internal corrosion and 4 Basics of Internal Corrosion (Anode, Cathode, Electrolyte, and Metallic Contact). Remaining 2 sessions were for the participants from the industry to discuss and share the case studies which resulted in a good exchange of knowledge and experience.
लगभग 90 प्रतिनिधियों ने सेमिनार मे भाग लिया , साथ ही गेल के करीब 60 अधिकारी आडियो वीडियो के माध्यम से सेमिनार मे उपस्थित रहे , ओआई एस डी को को मिलाकर 5 वक्ताओं ने अपनी कम्पनी के अनुभवो की केस स्टडी पर प्रस्तुतिया दी ।
Approx. 90 Nos delegates were attended the programme, in addition approx. 60 executives were connected through Video conference during the entire seminar. Total 05 case studies were presented by various Industries including OISD.
सभी प्रतिभागियों को डॉ कार्लोस द्वारा साझा विचारों से लाभ एवम अनुभव प्राप्त हुआ । सेमिनार के अंत मे पैनल चर्चा तथा सवाल – जवाब ने सेमिनार को और भी प्रासगिक बना दिआ ।
पाइपलाइनों के आंतरिक जंग पर तकनीकी संगोष्ठी सफलता पूर्वक अपने उदेश्य की पूर्ति एवम आभार प्रदर्शन के साथ संपन्न हो गयी ।
All participants in the meet were highly benefited by the views shared by Dr. Carlos A. Palacios, and Panel Discussion held jointly with Question answer Session. The Meet ended on a successful note and fruitfully served the purpose of the Meet. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the chair.
