Pakistan, the largest Islamic educated country is escalating along the green development curve. With increased pressure of gas dependent sectors and soaring oil prices, the nation has welcomed LNG (liquefied natural gas) as the future energy source.
Pakistan government envisages LNG to cut down the energy crises in the country and on the same line will curb pollution levels in the nation. LNG prices are forecasted to be kept 30% lower compared to gasoline. CNG owners will soon be shifting to LNG seeing the acute gas supplies. Accordingly, the commissions for petrol pump are likely to be hiked as well.
Federal Minister for Petroleum & Natural Resources, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has clearly stated that the reforms will first start appearing in gas dependent sectors (urea, fertilizers etc) and an advisory committee is likely to be formed to assist business communities.
