GAIL(India) Limited organized the 4th Awareness Program (under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas) on City Gas Distribution and Compressed Natural Gas today as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration on 24.02.2022.
The program was conducted from GAIL Training Institute (GTI) at Noida. The program was organized through virtual mode by GAIL and was webcasted among all GAIL employees, Senior officials of MoP & NG, Oil & Gas PSU employees, various CGD customers of GAIL and also amongst the student fraternity from various universities.
More than 260 attendees were connected during the program.
The Program started with a brief on the relevance and objective of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav which set the tone for the Program. The Key Note Address was delivered by Executive Director (HR and Law) Sh Prasoon Kumar. This was followed by the Awareness sessions.
The session was conducted on “Hydrogen Blending in Natural Gas- Associated Integrity Aspects”. It was delivered by Shri Raman Chadha, Chief Executive Officer GAIL Gas Limited. Gail Gas Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited, engaged in the City Gas Distribution business.
Shri Raman Chadha, has rich and diverse experience encompassing more than 36 years in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Sectors covering diverse functions like Project Development, Operations and Maintenance, Engineering Management, Cross Country Natural Gas Transportation, Compressors & Gas Turbine Operations & City Gas Distribution.
Today’s session focused on all the components of Hydrogen economy ecosystem. It touched upon the basics of the Hydrogen manufacturing technology and their challenges, policy interventions solicited and the growth opportunities available. It also showcased GAIL’s endeavours in this future energy business.
The session was extraordinary and very powerful. It was packed with information and delivered in a very simple and flowing pattern. The session ended with a brief Q & A round which was highly interactive.
