New York, earlier this year, saw its first mobile pizza truck rolling on Natural Gas!! Neapolitan Express is the first mobile restaurant serving pizzas made on alternative fuel. https://www.neapolitanexpress.com/our-truck The truck is powered by compressed natural gas and also has solar panels on its roof. The truck emits 75% lower greenhouse gases than trucks that run on diesel or petrol.
The trucks feature a unique open kitchen design and special hand made ovens made in Italy. Max Crespo, Neapolitan Express said the truck’s oven is hot enough to cook a pizza in 90 seconds. The truck also offers high-end mini-pies with ingredients imported from Italy. Considering the size of the food truck, it could be called one of the lowest carbon emission FOOD trucks ever!! Thanks to billionaire T. Boone Pickens, Clean Energy Fuels (Fuel partners for Neapolitan Express) the city got its first energy efficient food truck. This also goes to show the city’s support for electric and Natgas vehicles.
The rolling pizza truck hit the NEW York roads this year and intends introducing many more of its Natgas trucks in major cities. Well this is a classic example of feeding the country with natural gas. And guess what, that’s not all!! All of their packaging is made from recycled, biodegradable materials, designed to function using the least amount of waste possible. For example, their pizza boxes can be transformed into both plates and to-go containers. They encourage recycling and composting by providing bins at each of their truck sites.
Thanks to these little endeavors, Tomorrow is naturally yours!!
