China’s 20% Electricity from Renewable Sources

By 2020, China will have support of renewable power for its electricity needs accounting to 20% electricity coming from renewable resources. According to the report, China’s lead in the global renewable energy industry and in the Asia-Pacific region has been accelerated by a combination of government encouragement and market guidance, with planned investment of around $39.5 billion for the development of solar power between 2011 and 2015.
