Dr. Richard Pratt has 20 years of experience in LNG across the full spectrum of the industry. Within Fearnleys, he is working closely with Hoegh LNG and their FSRU and FLNG initiatives.
Dr. Pratt has had a fruitful tenure with ADGAS. Shortly after he commenced working in ADGAS, he was given the responsibility of planning and coordinating the activities associated with the third train expansion project. He was the architect of the process for not only extending the life of the existing fleet of LNGCs but also the acquisition of the first series build of 4×138,000m3 vessels. Dr. Pratt commissioned and supervised the use of state of the art simulation modeling to determine the fleet and plant configuration for the expanded company. On his initiative, a Pre-Project Development Team was assembled from the ADGAS shareholders and, as part of its remit tasked with the acquisition of a fleet of four newbuild vessels. He led the shipyard prequalification team and initiated the task of developing the vessel specification and building contract. He acted as liaison between ADGAS and the bid evaluation team leading up to contract award and during the construction period to ensure vessel delivery matched the startup LNG production at the plant. After leaving ADGAS, Dr. Pratt worked with Poten and Partners in Dubai and then New York and was involved in assorted assignments on LNG shipping including advising lenders to several LNG projects.
