The super techie whom we are going to cover today is not an IITian; as a matter of fact he hasn’t received any formal education. Behind his brilliant technological innovations lies immense practical knowledge he acquired all by reading his brother’s text books as well as by repairing any and every machine around him.
The man Rai Singh Dahiya, from Hanumangarh, Rajasthan brought a lot of creative inventions to existence including foot operated valve, car powered on a battery that can be charged by windmill amongst many others but his most amazing invention is the biomass based gasifier and engine.
The invention generates gas from the bio wastes and using the same, powers an engine. Agricultural residues such as fuel wood or briquettes are what the gasifier needs in the process. The fuel consumption is said to be 30-40 percent lesser than similar designs. The energy efficient machine can be utilized to pump sets in the remote fields, pump water in the households, operate basic machines like flour mills and saw mills and additionally charging the alternator.
Achievements like these which only a human with super natural intelligence can acquire. Stay tuned for our next strip in the series of #EnergyHeroes next Friday.
