Cycling is a healthy exercise to keep you fit; now it gets even better. How great would it be if it makes you even fitter by providing you clean air to breathe as well? Ingenious minds at Lifghtfog creative studio, Bangkok took the concept of a greener tomorrow to a whole different level. A Bike that won’t just eat up your calories but also pollution.
The air-filtering bike concept consists of a “photosynthesis system” air filter on its handlebar. This enables the bike to intake the pollution and with a reaction of water and electricity from lithium ion battery it generates oxygen.
As of now it’s not clear what amount of oxygen would the bike be able to generate as the size of the air filter is very tiny compared to the level of emissions. However, if realised the project may encourage thousands of nature loving enthusiasts to dump their cars and hop on to the cycles. Fleets of the same may have a significant impact on the quality of air we breathe.
As of now it is a design concept and may soon hit the traffic somewhere down the road and when it does it may prove to be a game changer, altering the entire concept of sustainable transportation.
