GAIL (India) limited bags one of the industry’s most prestigious awards, the “Platts Global Energy Awards” 2013. GAIL has been awarded under the category of “Premier Project” for the construction of the Dabhol Bangalore pipeline project. This has been quite a phenomenal achievement for GAIL as the awards are often described as “Academy Awards” of the energy sector. Platts receives more than 200 nominations each year from over 25 countries across the globe.
The Dabhol Banglore pipeline project, had already won the IMPA award under the category of “Project Excellence.” The Dabhol LNG terminal would serve as a gateway for entry of natural gas to the southern and western parts of the country.
GAIL consistently has been making efforts towards development in the natural gas sector and an award as grand as Platts is a validation of these efforts and reinforces the belief of a better tomorrow.
